They couldn’t keep their hands to themselves
Selena Gomez and The Weeknd have travelled all over the world since they started dating, visiting Italy, Paris, Amsterdam, Zurich and Los Angeles, of course, so it was only a matter of time before they crossed Toronto off the list. Selener (as we like to call her) and The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, spent the weekend in his hometown, where he showed her all the sites and they did couply things, from shopping and eating, to a movie and a visit to Ripley’s Aquarium. It was a date weekend every new couple should do, though you might not be able to rent out an entire theatre the way they did.

It’s all going swimmingly, isn’t it? A source told E! News, “They both didn’t expect this to go as fast as it has but it’s fine by them. They are both happy and have a great connection, physically and mentally.” Hey, as long as they’re happy, we’re all for it.

Drake’s new music project came out and it’s amazing
Drake dropped More Life on Saturday, which features a flabbergasting 22-track playlist that fans now need to learn. While a Drake album without Rihanna might be unheard of, this one features Kanye vocals, which is almost a good runner-up. It also has Drake admitting on the opening track, “Free Smoke,” that he and Jennifer Lopez might not have left things so amicably, rapping “I drunk text J.Lo / Old number, so it bounce back.”
J.Lo might have been on his mind during the recording sessions, because he also samples her 1999 hit “If You Had My Love” on Track 14, “Teenage Fever.” But Lopez isn’t among the artists on More Life. According to Us Weekly, the song Drake and Jen teased back in December, “Get It Together,” made it onto the album but Lopez’s vocals were replaced by British singer Jorja Smith.
Damn, not sure what’s colder, J.Lo being replaced or her quick rebound with Alex Rodriguez.
Beauty and the Beast slayed box office records
It may be a tale as old as time, but the new Beauty and the Beast dominated on its opening weekend. The live-action remake made an estimated $170 million in North America, dethroning last year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice to become the highest March debut in history.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Beauty and the Beast‘s global total after just three days is at $350 million. So another magical weekend for Disney. Pfft. Like we had any doubts.
Look at Suri now!
For the longest time, Suri Cruise has been the spitting image of her dad, Tom Cruise, but in a recent photo of Suri and her cousins that Katie Holmes posted on Instagram, her daughter is truly her mini-me.
If you don’t believe us, check out a throwback photo Katie posted recently of her young self and Katie and Suri are basically twinsies.
Trump once kicked One Direction out of their hotel
In an interview with Rollacoaster, Liam Payne revealed that he and his bandmates were staying at Trump Tower in New York City a couple years back when they were summoned by the now-president to meet his daughter.
“Trump actually kicked us out of his hotel once,” Payne told the magazine. “You wouldn’t believe it. It was about [meeting] his daughter. He phoned up our manager and we were asleep. He said, ‘Well, wake them up’ and I was like ‘No’ and then he wouldn’t let us use the underground garage. Obviously in New York we can’t really go outside. New York is ruthless for us.”
Payne added, “So he was like, ‘OK, then I don’t want you in my hotel.’ So we had to leave.”
Did you expect anything less? Our only question: was it Tiffany or Ivanka?
