When holidays roll around (we’re looking at you, Easter), it seems like everyone takes to social media to upload shots of their friends and family. Social media feeds are a parade of friends, acquaintances, and even celebs’ sweet-as-pie kids, siblings, parents, friends and lovers.

What is it about sharing personal snaps of the people who matter most that make us feel so good? Sure, it’s an ego boost if a photo receives a bunch of likes, but showing off our favourite humans is so much more. It’s like a digital tribute shouted from the rooftops, “Hey sweet brother of mine! We may not talk as often as we should, but I’m thinking about you and miss you, so here’s a photo of us being total weirdos 10 years ago!” It’s weirdly flattering, like an unexpected digital hug from afar.

With Siblings Day and now Easter, there’s plenty of opportunity to send some electronic love, and this week, we’re looking to the stars to show us how it’s done.

The Weeknd shares some serious PDA with Selena Gomez

The drama over Selena Gomez and The Weeknd’s relationship, which began shortly after his break up with Bella Hadid, seems to have died down. Now, all we’re seeing is one loved-up couple of uber-talented folks.

Kim Kardashian posts an epic #tbt for National Siblings Day

We love this shot of the Kardashian clan (plus Malika and Khadijah Haqq) roller skating. Nothing says “family fun” quite like strapping on oversized plastic boots with wheels on the bottom.

Kim also added this photo of her a Kourtney on National Sibling Day. They haven’t aged a bit.

Kelly Clarkson has a laugh over a voice crack in the recording booth

This is amazing for two reasons: it’s a perfect example of why we love Kelly and want to be best friends with her, and it means she’s been in the booth recording new music.

Gerard Butler gets a warm welcome back to Scotland

There’s nothing like that feeling of being welcomed back to your hometown. Especially if your hometown is as gorgeous as Gerard’s. That lighthouse looks like something off of a postcard.

Man it’s good to be back in Scotland! #Keepers

Rihanna wears a pair of Tupac socks, ties bandana around calf

First of all, these socks get an A+ for nailing the likeness of the rap legend. Second, check out how Rihanna tied a bandanna around the forehead area on her calf/Tupac’s forehead. Having your face on socks might not initially sound like a great tribute, but we think that Tupac would appreciate this shout out.

Lady Gaga is Coachella-ready

The round blue tinted sunglasses, the artsy necklace, the lace choker, and most of all the peace sign… Lady Gaga is clearly ready for Coachella. While ticket holders must have been bummed to hear that Beyoncé had to drop out (making healthy babies comes first!), we can’t think of a better replacement than Gaga.

Jamie Lee Curtis posts a pic of her, sister Kelly, and their iconic mother Janet Leigh

Who knew that Janet Leigh might have been Patient Zero for duckface? Also, how cute are bewildered Jamie and ecstatic Kelly? National Siblings Day has given us better throwbacks than all of the Thursdays this year.
