There was a Brad and Jen reunion at last night’s SAG Awards

We’d watch that sequel.

If you’re like basically all of us and were disappointed by the lack of Brad and Jen reunion at the Golden Globes this year, then Sunday night’s SAG Awards more than made up for it. Not only did the former spousies each win an award (him for Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood and her for The Morning Show), but they also proved they’re still Friends. And maybe even more than friends? It all started on the red carpet as eager fans and reporters watched to see whether the two would lock eyes or exchange smiles. At one point an outlet asked Jen about the public’s fascination over their potential reunion now that they’re both single again, and she just laughed it off. “It’s hysterical, but what else are they going to talk about?” she said.[video_embed id='1880545']RELATED: Is Brad Pitt 'swiping right' on Jennifer Aniston?[/video_embed]But then then night kicked off, and Brad gave an epic speech that had the entire Internet buzzing. He called out director Quentin Tarantino’s long-rumoured foot fetish (yep) and told everyone he was making the statue his new Tinder profile picture. Then he launched into the best bit of the night: “Let’s be honest, it was a difficult part — a guy who gets high, takes his shirt off and doesn’t get on with his wife. It was a big stretch,” he said while the cameras panned to Jen, who smiled and clapped. Honestly that probably would have been enough to warm our hearts, because Brad definitely left us with the feeling that he’s done a lot of work on himself. Like, a lot. But then Jen also won a trophy, and Brad stopped everything to watch from backstage as his ex-wife gave her acceptance speech (where she admittedly didn’t say anything about her ex, but she did give a shout-out to her frequent co-star Adam Sandler). If that isn’t a man who still has some feelings for the woman he spent five years married to, we don’t know what is. And it makes us wish we were flies on the wall when the couple did finally meet up afterwards, and exchanged a little laugh and some minor hand-touching. Obviously everyone was here for it and we got pictures from lots, and lots… and LOTS of different angles. You can’t blame us for really wanting those two to reconnect. Clearly they still respect each other, and there are probably some lingering feelings there… right? Sure, more cynical people will say this is all a part of Brad’s Oscar campaign, but we like to be a little more optimistic and believe in the lasting powers of love.Okay, so maybe there won’t be a revival for these two in the near future, but for now our inner romantics are still holding out hope. Hope for another round, or even for a tight-knit friendship that even the most diehard of Friends would be proud of. Because even celebs deserve to have someone in their life who really, truly sees them. But also, #BradAndJenForever.[video_embed id='1858015']RELATED: Brad Pitt attends Jennifer Aniston’s holiday party[/video_embed]
