When you associate the colour green with any kind of candy, you’re likely expecting apple. Or lime. If you were getting fancy, you might guess a kiwi flavour or even pear. Heck, some candies might even throw you for a loop and taste like watermelon. But as far as green gummy bears go, you wouldn’t think they were anything but any of the above flavours, right?

Haribo’s Gold-Bears are pretty much what you get everywhere, whether in their own packaging or in bulk. The manufacturer is largely credited for inventing the gummy bear, but someone in their flavour department has been messing with our heads all this time.

Because, nope, they’re not apple.

Or lime.

Or kiwi.

Or pear.

Or some funky watermelon.

Their green gummy bears are actually strawberry-flavoured.

And that’s not all; the red ones aren’t strawberry, nor cherry. They’re raspberry.

Yes, all we had to do was look at the back of a bag, but who has time for that when we’re gobbling up these morsels of masterful deception? Thanks, Haribo, you’ve officially blown our minds and shattered everything we’ve known to be tasty and true.
