Ever look at the toilet bowl after you’ve finished a Number 1 and been a little taken aback at how dark your urine is? Or how clear it seems to be?

While most of us know the basic rules (dark = drink more water/light = keep chugging superstar), the colour of your urine gives you a bigger picture of what’s going on in your bladder and beyond.

To help us understand the streaming rainbow, so to speak, the Cleveland Clinic has released another one of its spot-on infographics explaining what yellow, orange and even green (yes, green!) urine could indicate health-wise.

So there you have it. Just like snot, the colour of your urine could predict larger issues at play in your body. Or it could just tell you to stop refilling the old coffee mug and head on over to the water cooler for some old fashioned agua. Just maybe don’t talk about the colour of your urine with any co-workers you encounter there. Or, do. We don’t judge!
