This week’s international list of Crave recommendations features dysfunctional families and a juicy Irish murder mystery series.

Shameless

Showtime’s cheeky dramedy about a strikingly poor, white American family living in the south side of Chicago follows the trials and tribulations of Frank Gallagher (William H. Macy), an alcoholic single dad raising six children. Heading into its 10th season, Frank and the now-adult Gallagher children find themselves in more trouble and convoluted and comic situations than ever. While series favourite Emmy Rossum left the show at the end of last season, Emmy award winner Macy, Ethan Cutkosky, Shanola Hampton and the rest of the gang return for the pinnacle of a comedy series about a dysfunctional family. You can catch new episodes streaming every Sunday at 9pm.

Back to Life

From the producers of Fleabag comes another witty British comedy-drama, this time we cut across the pond to follow Miri Matteson, a reformed criminal trying to put her life back together after returning home from serving an 18-year-jail-sentence. Filled with the same quippy humour, sharp dialogue and neurotic characters that made Fleabag a hit, Back to Life stars Daisy Haggard from Episodes as well as Geraldine James from the Canadian drama Anne with an E. Stream the full first season on Crave now.

Hidden Gem : Dublin Murders

Based on the acclaimed novels In the Woods and The Likeness by Tana French, new STARZ psychological thriller Dublin Murders is set in, in you guessed it, Dublin, Ireland, and follows two detectives as investigate the murder of a young girl on the outskirts of town. Throughout the series, their friendship and sanity is tested as the horror of the case begin to reveal itself. True to its title, the cast features mainly Irish actors and actresses, with Killian Scott from Damnation and Penny Dreadful’s Sarah Greene as the leads. You can stream new episodes of Dublin Murders every Sunday at midnight.
