Toronto takes centre stage as we roll into the weekend for TIFF and all eyes are on the 6ix as A-listers hit the city with the movies that we will be talking about for the next 12 months. Luckily, we have just the thing to get you into the festival spirit even if you’re not in town and for those sports fans (die-hard and fairweather) who are riveted by Bianca Andreescu’s historic run and her interactions with Serena Williams on and off the court, Crave has a compelling doc-series about the tennis fave and her rise to GOAT status that is sure to get you hyped for Saturday's U.S. Open Finals.Best of TIFF CollectionOver 100 official Toronto International Film Festival selections in one place (Crave, Crave Movies + HBO)If you've lived in Toronto long enough, you definitely have had a share of interesting TIFF stories but not everyone is fortunate enough to experience that kind of magic. Luckily, Crave just launched a massive Best of TIFF collection, with over 100 official selections that includes extras and Q&As with directors and castmembers. The collection has favourites like A Star is Born (2018), Argo, Monster’s Ball, Still Alice, The Lobster and more than enough to keep you busy until the next festival season. Basically, you don’t have to leave your house this weekend to get that festival feel so invite some friends and have a mini TIFF party.BallersNew episode airing Sun Sept-8-19 @ 10:40 ET (Crave Movies + HBO)ICYMK, September is #TakeAManOnADateMonth so if you’re feeling like the men in your life aren’t cutting it, here's a suggestion; indulge in some Dwayne Johnson in Ballers. Seriously though, Ballers is in its final season and there is still time to catch up before the series finale on October 13. Maybe you can't find a 6-foot-4, 99.9% muscle index, former heavy weight champion of a man like The Rock in real life but with over 20 hours of Ballers to catch up on, it's essentially the same thing. The series is also hilarious but that's obvious because everything the man touches turns to gold. Hidden Gem: Being SerenaFive-episode documentary series (Crave)Last month Canadian Bianca Andreescu, 19, became a house hold name after surprisingly defeating Serena Williams at the Rogers Cup. There is a reason every time Williams suffers a loss it's a global news story; she is one of the best all-time players in tennis. Before the ladies' highly anticipated U.S. Open Finals rematch, take a deep dive and learn what it takes to wear the crown with this week’s Hidden Gem; the five-part HBO documentary series, Being Serena. In it, Williams discusses her relationship to tennis as she prepares for new challenges in her life; marriage, pregnancy, motherhood and finding a way to continue to be the force of nature she is.
