Will Ferrell has sure covered a lot of ground with his onscreen “sports career.” He’s already played a professional ice dancer (Blades of Glory), a basketball player (Semi-Pro), a soccer coach (Kicking and Screaming) and a race car driver (Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby), so joining a major league baseball team doesn’t actually seem like that big a stretch.

The comedian just released the first trailer for his upcoming HBO comedy doc, Ferrell Takes The Field, and it looks hilariously epic.

The doc follows Ferrell’s adventures crashing the MLB’s spring training earlier this year. The comedian attempted to play 10 different positions for 10 different MLB teams, all in a bid to raise money for cancer awareness.

The doc features all of Ferrell’s major league hijinks, including a lot of butt-scratching, Gatorade spilling and general confusion. He also appears to solve the age-old mystery: where do baseball players keep their wallets while they’re on the field? A natural sleuth!

Watch Ferrell Takes The Field, Saturday, September 12 at 10:00 p.m. on HBO Canada.
