Reboots mean never having to say goodbye, and the latest show to come back from the re-run cemetery is the beloved and groundbreaking comedy Will & Grace.

Airing from 1998 to 2006, the series starred Eric McCormack as Will, a gay lawyer living with his best friend Grace, a straight interior designer played by Debra Messing. The pair were often joined by their over-the-top friends, including alcoholic socialite Karen (Megan Mullaly) and flamboyant actor Jack (Sean Hayes).

Over its eight seasons, Will & Grace took home 16 of its incredible 83 Emmy nominations, continually walking the line between raw human emotion and hilariously absurd situations. Rumors of a reunion began to swirl back in 2014, when the apartment set was removed from the Emerson College Library in LA where it was on display. In 2016, the original four cast members reunited as their Will & Grace characters to urge Americans to vote in the Presidential election. The 10-minute online video was so popular that in January 2017, NBC confirmed that Will & Grace would return for a ninth season, extending the episode order to 12 episodes in April.

Just in time for the annual upfronts in New York, NBC has now released the first trailer for the upcoming season of Will & Grace and everyone is as neurotic and catty as we remembered them. Plus, this time they’re singing.

In the very meta-trailer, McCormack tries to convince Messing to reprise her role as Grace, bringing her to their old set to stir up emotions. Once they arrive, the pair are stunned to find that Mullaly and Hayes have been living on set since the show wrapped in 2006, unaware that they are not actually their TV characters, Karen and Jack.

While all four characters have stayed the same, they’ve kept up with the times, including Messing posting on Instagram and Hayes’ Jack renting the apartment on AirBonB. That’s Air Boy on Boy. The foursome eventually break into a musical number set to “As If We Never Said Goodbye” from Sunset Boulevard, delivering an impressive performance that has us even more excited for the series’ return this fall.

It looks like the cast members are just as excited as the rest of us for the return of Will & Grace. Back in March, Messing posted a video on Instagram of a blooper reel for a scene with Hayes. Oh, Will, Grace, Jack and Karen, we’ve missed you.
