Will Smith may be working on a spinoff of 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air'

Now this is a story all about how an actor's life got flipped, turned upside down, and now we'd like to take a minute just sit right there, and tell you how Will Smith is about to become the prince of a town called Bel-Air. Again.The Hollywood Reporter has pointed out that Smith has seen some troubling box office times in recent years, but has somehow managed to reinvent his brand "via shrewd product picks and cheeky web videos, earning 122 million followers across platforms." Combine that with the mind-blowing success of Aladdin in which he played the Genie, and Will is back in the game. In fact, he's a starting player. To continue his hot streak, Will is teaming up with wife Jada Pinkett Smith and through their new cross-platform holding company, Westbrook, the couple are working on developing a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air spinoff.Considering the sitcom is loosely based on the life of Benny Medina, there's still a lot to tell. Medina, ICYDK, just happens to be the manager of Jennifer Lopez, as well as Tyra Banks (who, coincidentally, also appeared on The Fresh Prince), and worked with Sean Combs, Mariah Carey, Usher and Brandy. Just think of all the storylines that could be mined from that.Now, was all that love for all things Fresh Prince reignited before, during or after the actor unveiled his clothing line? After all, Bel-Air Athletics was inspired by his former sitcom and if there's anything that might get Will's wheels turning, it's seeing the character's innate ability to charm on the small screen once more.

And if a mini-reunion between Smith and Alfonso Ribeiro can send fans into a frenzy, just think of what an actual spinoff would do. The Twitterverse was in fine form, of course, and had some opinions of their own.Some cried tears of joy at the possibilities.

There were some far-out conspiracy theories.

Unfortunately, no other details have been given regarding the spinoff. Heck, we don't know if Smith will even star in it or if he and Jada are simply shepherding it to fruition. No matter what, when there's a will, there's a way, and if Smith wants to become the prince of a town called Bel-Air once again, it's safe to say it can and will happen.
