When William Shatner put out this cryptic, unexplained call on Twitter earlier this month, people were utterly confused:

OK, well the email address might have been a hint. But, either way, perplexed Star Trek fans sent along their “live long and prosper” (LLAP) selfies in the hopes of finding out what Shatner was up to:

Now, the Canadian actor has unveiled exactly what he was doing with the photos:

Yep, that’s a Spock “mosaic” made with the 6,000 LLAP selfies Shatner received. Can you get more Star Trek than that?

He commissioned it as a tribute to Leonard Nimoy, his friend and Star Trek co-star, who passed away in February. Live long and prosper, Spock. We miss you.
