Asking out your crush takes courage. Asking out your crush for a Valentine’s Day date takes a special kind of brave. Expectations are significantly higher on the lovey-dovey holiday (that’s not really a holiday); he or she might think you’re ready for marriage when, in fact, all you want to do is go out on ‘the most romantic day of the year’. And who wouldn’t, really, what with all the hearts and flowers and candy and chocolates and red and pink and love, love, love.

Blogger Oloni took to Twitter to give some women that extra, much-needed push, and suggested to the single ladies out there to ask out their crushes for a Valentine’s Day date.

Because what’s the worst that could happen? They say no? OK, maybe this, which isn’t quite the response one would hope for.

Hey, at least now she knows, no longer has to waste her time and can move on to the next guy. And good on her for taking a shot and taking it with a grain of salt.

But if they say yes, well, that’s a whole different love story.

Awww.

Because you never know.

Maybe you didn’t know you were his #WomanCrushWednesday.

Sometimes the unexpected happens.

Sometimes it’s a risk worth taking.

Not exactly romantic but at least you’re together.

Look at this sweetness.

Sweetest, most enthusiastic reply ever.

The perfect response.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
