Makeup art has come a long way, and these three makeup artists prove that possibilities are limitless when it comes to transforming oneself with a brush.

Mimi Choi, with her surrealist horror approach, often uses repetition to create creepy creations that totally trip us out. The Vancouver native’s freaky body and face paintings have made her a viral sensation. British/Mexican makeup artist Vanessa Davis, on the other hand, prefers a more whimsical style, making fantasy-like creatures that resemble glow-in-the-dark raver fairies. Finally, Croatian body painter Ines blows us away with her “squeezed” face transformations.

Ready to be amazed?

Nightmares for days.

Vanessa Davis

This is not your average mermaid.

…or your average set of butterflies for that matter.

The iridescent highlights are what makes Davis’ work so unique.
