There’s a lot to love about pizza: tomato sauce and your favourite veggies, all bound together by ooey-gooey cheese. Things can, however, get a little more complicated as soon as you start adding fruit to the mix. Take Hawaiian pizza, for instance — some people live for it, and others can’t stomach it. But pineapple is no longer the only fruit pizza topping worth debating.
Behold, strawberry-topped pizza:

When Twitter user @MoonEmojii posted a photo of pizza topped with strawberries to the internet, people were clearly shaken. So much so that the photo’s already been retweeted over 2,000 times since Sunday. Here are just a few showing off the internet’s general reaction to the culinary creation:

Sure, your first impulse might be to cringe and gag at @MoonEmojii’s creation, but let’s think about this practically for a second. Strawberries and cheese typically complement each other in cheesecakes, charcuterie boards and strawberry goat cheese salads. So how is strawberry pizza any different? Maybe it’s the addition of tomato sauce that’s throwing everyone off. But some Twitter users have realized that all of the ingredients should theoretically balance out the different flavours.
Why stop there tho?? Put apples and grapes on there. Hell even try grapefruit. They pair those fruits with cheese all the time!

If you want to know whether strawberry-topped pizza is a crime against humanity or a welcome twist on a classic comfort food, you’re going to have to try it for yourself.
Pineapple and non-pineapple pizza eaters must put our differences aside and join forces to defeat this evil https://t.co/WE59N20UJ5
