Many people would give anything to live in the world’s most romantic city — but what if that included giving up a lot of precious space?
Tucked away in Paris, on the seventh floor of a Haussmann building, is what might possibly be Paris’ (and maybe the world’s?) smallest apartment. Architecture firm Kitoko transformed what once was a former maid’s quarters into a compact 86-square-foot home.
So, where is everything? You know, like the bed, closet, kitchen and washroom? Well, they’re all hidden behind the cabinet walls. Yes, it sounds like the beginnings of a horror story, but rest assured, the functioning cabinet walls with pullout amenities are amazing and far from scary.
