Typically, when a series is cancelled, the showrunner or producers contact the cast and crew and let them know what’s going on. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case for Bella Thorne who found out the hard way that her show, Famous in Love, was not getting renewed for a third season–through social media.

Maybe there’s hope? Reps for the Freeform drama — which airs on E! in Canada — told People magazine that a cancellation isn’t confirmed and a decision has yet to be made. That being said, sources told The Hollywood Reporter that it’s definitely done — partly due to the cost of making the expensive drama but also because of behind-the-scenes drama between Thorne and series creator and showrunner I. Marlene King.

THR‘s sources told the publication that cancellation is “considered a relief” for many involved with the show as Thorne displayed “diva-like behavior” on the set, “actively wanted off” the series, and “refused to participate in any network-organized live tweets.”

Meanwhile King, who also created Pretty Little Liars, took to Twitter to share the truth along with what she knows.

Guess we’ll just have to wait and see how in love with the show Freeform is.
