If you’ve ever tried to take a photo in the middle of a city, you know the struggle of wanting to be in the middle of the action, while also capturing the gorgeous skyline. Logistically, it’s impossible. If you’re right next to the Empire State Building, you just can’t get a good photo of the Empire State Building. We guess it’s just one of those funny things in life that isn’t fair.
When it’s your wedding day, however, some magical, physics-defying things can happen—especially when property and design expert Tommy Smythe is on the case. Tommy’s specialty is finding the perfect wedding venue when it seems like there’s no conceivable way any location on the planet earth could possibly fulfill all of a couple’s criteria. Like, perhaps, the need to be in the centre of a city AND see the skyline at the same time.
Where to I Do? (Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on GustoTV) is where Tommy works his magic and in the season two premiere, he meets Alyssa and Andy who live in Jersey but want the NYC wedding experience. NBD, right? Well, she wants a Manhattan wedding in the heart of the city and he wants to admire it from afar (you know, where he’ll actually be able to hear his beloved say “I do”). Thankfully, Tommy’s come up with the perfect solution—620 Loft & Garden.
Okay, we’re officially booking our wedding here. The gorgeous 1930s venue is right next to Rockefeller Center (can’t get much more downtown than that!) but it has a secluded rooftop garden suspended above the hustle and bustle of the city—like a little metropolitan oasis. Alyssa can have her city wedding, Andy can have his peace and quiet and everyone can get some GREAT pics of the whole city. Insta game strong!
We’re officially in love but Tommy has two other venues to show the couple. Does this one fit the bill or will another even better location steal their hearts? You’ll just have to watch to find out.
