You can finally have two of your greatest loves (raw protein and online shopping) meat you right at your door. Now, you can get top-quality, raw meat and seafood delivered to you anywhere in Canada, thanks to Beretta.

To those who love organic, grass-fed, humanely raised, sustainably-sourced and antibiotic, hormone-free meat, say hello to Beretta farms’ newest service. The Frozen Butcher is an online boutique butcher shop by Beretta that allows you to order your Beretta meat online.

Founders Mike and Cynthia Beretta first started Beretta farms in 1992 and are dedicated to helping people find healthy and humane alternatives. “With our online ‘butcher shop,’” Cynthia says, “we can offer consumers great product they know they can trust.”

But… it’s frozen, right? We’re too familiar with Gordon Ramsay’s aversion to frozen meats  and fish in Kitchen Nightmares. They’re supposed to be less flavourful and more chewy after being cooked. And, as loyal carnivores, we thrive on that satisfying, tender meat that just falls off the bone. The Frozen Butcher ensures the freshness of your meat despite the deep freeze by simply vacuum sealing the packages to preserve all that natural goodness. The website states that Beretta’s proteins are “frozen at the peak of their freshness, locking in the natural juices, flavours and nutrients.” The high fat content of their products also prevents ice from latching onto the meat,  protecting that fully fresh state. Take that, Gordon Ramsay.

Oh, did we mention it’s cheaper to order online? We compared Loblaws, Longos and The Frozen Butcher online prices and found The Frozen Butcher to be a better overall deal per pound. For instance, 1 Kg of Beretta’s organic lean ground beef sells for around $26 at both Loblaws and Longos and is around $19 at The Frozen Butcher. The stewing beef is also between $7 to $10 cheaper per Kilogram at the online boutique than at Longos and Loblaws.

Although those prices seem almost too good to be true, you don’t have the option of buying single ounces or pounds at The Frozen Butcher, so it’s all or nothing. At the end of the day, you’re spending more money at one time but saving money in the long run — it’s like ripping off a Band-Aid. Recommended for when you want to eat more than one piece of meat.

You just need to order the food online, wait 48 hours, and Voila! Perfect meat and seafood you feel good about eating, delivered right to your doorstep. Homemade surf and turf, anyone?
