There’s a new way to show your appreciation for the men in your life (or the women with a fondness for a particular dried meat snack). The“broquet” is a bouquet made entirely of beef jerky you can order for your loved one, which also launched just in time for Valentine’s Day.

U.S. beef company Say It With Beef created the product to express basically the same thing as flowers, but in the most masculine way ever. And after admiring the bouquet’s beauty, your loved one can eat the entire thing too.

The site reads: “Flowers are lame. Say it with beef,” and offers a selection between rose or daisy broquets  (both full bouquets are priced at $35 USD).

Each broquet is also packaged in a beer mug with the company’s name on the front. Sure, they’re a little less colourful than real ones, but they taste so much better.

Despite the rather obvious portmanteau, this meaty gift is actually a pretty awesome idea. The concept was born when one man was sitting in his cubicle at work, pondering what to get his buddy who’d recently been admitted to the hospital. He wouldn’t like ordinary flowers — it was too obvious. The solution was, of course, gifting away beef in the shape of flowers.

For now, the broquets are only available in the States (no doubt your uncle in Texas would appreciate this), but we’re thinking we could probably carve up a pretty decent DIY version of this. Maybe we’ll even throw in some pepperoni.
