Amal Clooney—”world-renowned human rights lawyer, law school professor and leading thinker on the concept of justice throughout the world”—had her husband announce a new campaign for their charity, the Clooney Foundation for Justice where you can enter to win a double date with her and Gordon. Um, we mean George?
The Clooneys want you to join them on Lake Como in Italy (Yes!) at their private villa (Yes!) for a lunch of “Italy’s finest prosecco, charcuterie and cheeses” (Yes! Yes! Yes!). The prize includes flights and accommodations with all proceeds from the contest going to the Clooney Foundation through Omaze.
In order to sell the deal, George leaned into the joke (is it a joke if it’s true?) we’ve personally been making pretty much since he and Amal got married—Amal is way more exciting, successful and, honestly, cooler than George Clooney. Them’s just the facts.
Sure, George is a two-time People’s “Sexiest Man Alive,” Danny Ocean, Dr. Doug Ross, the only Batman with nipples and has Brad Pitt’s home phone number but Amal, as previously mentioned, is a world-renowned human rights lawyer. ‘Nuff said.
The Clooney Foundation for Justice is an organization founded by the Clooneys to advocate for justice throughout the world by exposing corruption and human rights violations and taking action on behalf of marginalized and vulnerable communities in the United States and abroad.
Donations start as low as $14 CAD for 100 entries into the contest and go up to $6,854 CAD for 50,000 entries (if you’re so inclined).
