It’s no secret that Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake are BFFs. From their Barry Gibb Talk Show sketch on SNL to the Real People Fake Arms skits on The Tonight Show (weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET), the chemistry between them positively sizzles. Cool for them; too bad for Jessica Biel.
Tuesday night when Jessica—talented performer and *checks notes* wife of Justin Timberlake—arrived as Jimmy’s first guest on The Tonight Show, it would make sense that Jimmy might be a little jealous of Justin’s Number One. Perhaps he wanted to do a little usurping. Perhaps he’d been listening to NSYNC’s “It’s Gonna Be Me” on repeat. Whatever the reason, he chose this night to truly put the JT-JB marriage to the test.Jimmy somehow dug up an old 1999 interview of Jessica with the perfect soundbite to drive a wedge between the power couple. This will be "Tearing Up Justin’s Heart" and he might say "Bye Bye Bye" when he learns that his wife of seven glorious years and mother of his child once had so much insolence when asked if she listened to *NSYNC that her eyes nearly rolled out of her head. “This is years before you and Justin ever met,” Jimmy said as he rolled the clip to protestations from Biel.“I’m not a huge fan” she replies in the old clip in reference to the "Dirty Pop" boy band, “but cool, I guess.” THE SHADE. Present-day Biel naturally reacted in horror and embarrassment at the sight of her former self, clasping a hand over her mouth. “I’m screwed!” she said. “The attitude!”“Dude you are in so much trouble!” Jimmy laughed as the audience gasped and applauded. And in case you think that in the ensuing seven years since she's been married to the former boy band member, she's become more acquainted with his music, think again. She revealed to Jimmy that while playing Truth or Dare with a group of other "late thirtysomethings" somewhere in Italy, as one does, she was dared to sing an*NSYNC song all the way through by herself, and could not do it."Justin coached me through the chorus, the verse, I'm looking at the words," she said while miming scrolling through her phone. "It was so embarrassing. It was humiliating!"
