Sometimes parents have to ask their children the hard questions but Reese Witherspoon isn't afraid to go there. During a chat with her middle child, Deacon, she asked the dreaded question teenagers don't want to hear from their moms: "What is TikTok?"The 15-year-old explained that it's "a short form video platform for kids, social media," but Reese wanted to know more and what better way to find out how it works than to do one herself, with his help of course. His reluctantly agreement, while holding back laughter, is so perfect.Witherspoon proceeded to bust out all kinds of moves including her "rolly, rolly, rolly" styles, some bizarre walking robot action, a weird skeleton thing, dusting off her shoulders, then mom and son do a little Milly Rock before he taps out: "This is so embarrassing."But other celebrity moms (and non-mom celebs) loved every second of it—as will you when you watch it on repeat.

Mindy Kaling is all of us, writing, "I've watched this nine times. You are so funny. I can’t believe how polite your son is." Victoria Beckham wrote, "This is everything!" Kelly Rowland added, "This is SO DOPE!!!" Elle McPherson called Reese a "goof ball," while Jessica Chastain described the whole thing as "AMAZING." Witherspoon's Cruel Intentions co-star Selma Blair praised Reese for nailing it before adding, "This is my recreational life. Every day. Everything is a meme over here." And Ava DuVernay simply wrote: "HAAA! Love you, Reese!!!!" Same, Ava. Same. One very important question remained, however: what would Reese call her own TikTok channel? "Reese Tik? Reese Tok? Reese to the Tik to the Tok?" All of which got a resounding "NO!" from her son.If there are other cool moms without willing teenaged kids who require further explanation, we're here to help. TikTok used to be Musical.ly before Chinese company ByteDance bought it last year and merged it with their app, TikTok and gave way to countless memes and a new crop of Gen-Z social media stars. You don't need the app to enjoy it—all you need to watch is Reese and Deacon.Deacon is Reese's youngest child with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, with whom she also shares Ava, 20. Reese and husband Jim Toth are parents to son Tennessee, 7.
