You’ve already heard of the term “selfie,” but have you heard of taking a “selfeet?” We swear we’re not obsessed with feet. We are, however, obsessed with one girl’s photos of her feet taken from all over the world. Her blog is overflowing with her #selfeets in front of incredible landscapes.

Kimberly Conner, a travel blogger who grew up in California and eventually started backpacking around the world, has been making a little tradition of taking foot pictures in every new place she visits.

Conner said she likes to take pictures of her feet “in different places, scenes, doing different things, in front of views or hanging over cliffs, dirty after festivals, tired in the airport… etc. Scenes that really got the gist of what I was doing and the feel of wherever I was.” She explained how she’s been travelling for three years since she was hit with the travel bug. And honestly, it’s impossible to not feel the travel bug kicking in when you see the wholesome experiences between a girl’s feet and the world:

This girl’s literally walking on top of the world.

There’s no way this can be real…right?

So this is something I have quite literally been working on behind the scenes for YEARS… I was never entirely sure how to post about this because I wasn’t sure how to group them. Let me explain……………… So ever since I started traveling I have had a ‘tradition’ picture to take photos of my feet…. in different places, scenes, doing different things, in front of views or hanging over cliffs, dirty after festivals, tired in the airport… etc. Scenes that really got the gist of what I was doing and the feel of wherever I was. I have now decided to group these photos by year. And since I have been doing this over three years, this first edition is of the adventures of my feet from 2014 and before. 2013 and 2014 were when I first started traveling… I quit track & field (which was my life), studied abroad in Italy, and backpacked Europe in 2013, traveled to Europe again in 2014, and had millions of miniature adventures in between as you will see. I’m not entirely sure why I started doing this…. my feet aren’t all that attractive and basically always have small chips of old nail polish somewhere and are slightly dirty because I don’t like to wear shoes… but it has evolved into a tradition nonetheless that brings back tons of memories and also appreciation for shoes that have been there for me through it all 󾍇 It now means quite a lot to me to get a good, meaningful, or encompassing ‘foot’ picture, and I have been increasing my scope and skill since I began as a wee little backpacker in 2013 in continental Europe for the very first time with an iPhone 5. So here is my first annual edition of Adventures & Footwear: The Travels of my Feet. LINK IN BIO 🙂 Please check out out. Happy New Year to wherever on earth you may be today 🙂 (Pictured: a find from moped adventures around Koh Phangan last week! You never know what you’ll find when you drive up a random hill 🙂 #adventures #myfeet #travel #travelingfeet #lol #hammock #thailand #kohphangan

That’s it! We’re packing our bags and joining her!

Nope, my feet aren’t photoshopped in there. And that little speck of white down below? That’s the boat we’re attached to by a few lil ropes as we parasailed on the ‘extra high’ option😳✈️🚤 such an incredible experience. This is yet another image from my “The World & My Feet” series – where I have taken similarly awesome/interesting photos of my feet everywhere I have traveled – see my last few Instagram posts for an idea, or better yet visit the link in my bio to see them all! They’re great, I promise😝 Some more exciting news, im officially going back for round 2 as a tour guide in Croatia this summer💙 can’t wait to return to this stunning country!! #selfeet #myfeet #parasailing #gopro #goprogirl #view #croatia #makarska

My new photo journal (link in bio) is more than just photos of my feet in front of nice views (although a lot of them are!). It’s all about textures, patterns, color, and moments frozen in time. Your feet are always there, but what’s beneath them that counts – trails they have traversed, mountains they’ve climbed, beaches they have relaxed on. When you think about it, your feet have taken you everywhere you’ve ever been! Right here I stopped to appreciate this beautiful pattern on the beach off the coast of north wales, collecting seashells half buried in the small grains of sand. This photo brings me right back to that cold moment, rubbing my sandy hands together to keep them warm as I examined my shells and tried to keep up with my uncle as he walked along. to see all my moments like this of the last year, and my favorite photo compilation ever, follow the link in my bio👍🏻👌🏼📷 @drakepeterj 🏃🏻 #feet #selfeet #sand #texture #pattern #redwharfbay #anglesey #wales #travel #ihavethisthingwithfloors
