Rob Ford likes to keep a good buzz going.
That’s why when he orders a coffee, he makes it a quintuple.
Let’s start from the beginning. Toronto’s mayor took a spin with Deadmau5 in the EDM musician’s cat-themed Ferrari (or “Purrari,” as he likes to call it). The strange scenario was set up on Monday, when Deadmau5 sent Ford an invitation for coffee and a cruise.

The musician has been filming these kinds of coffee runs with famous faces for his YouTube channel since late 2013. Previous guests have included Tommy Lee and Russell Peters. But when the pair pulled up to a Tim Hortons to pick up their favourite brew this time around, something strange happened.
“Uh, can I get five espressos…in one cup?” Ford asks (12:30).
“Five espressos…one cup,” the musician confirms. “What does that equate to?”
“I don’t know. But it’s good, trust me,” Ford replies.
“That’s cardiac arrest!”
An awkward silence ensues shortly afterward. That’s kind of the theme of the entire interview. In fact, the only thing funnier than Ford’s drink order, were his facial expressions when Deadmau5 put his “Purrari” into high gear (20:00):
As for the best one-liner from each of them?
“I hate government intervention,” Ford says (22:10)
“But you’re a mayor,” Deadmau5 replies.
“I know, I know…”
