If you were told that you could brew your own keg of beer at home, you would
“barley” barely be able to contain yourself, right? You would obviously “hop” to it! (Sorry.)
Bad beer puns aside, thanks to a new gadget called the PicoBrew, your home brewski-creating dreams can now become a reality.
According to the gadget’s inventors, brothers Bill and Jim Mitchell, the PicoBrew will allow users to “brew award-winning craft beer” on their counter tops at home with the touch of a button, kind of like a bread machine or espresso maker.
According to the Mitchell brothers, using the PicoBrew is as simple as creating or borrowing a recipe, loading the ingredients into the container (or “step filter”) and selecting Start. There’s even a window in the front of the machine where you can watch all the beer-making magic happen. And it’s easy to clean! Pretty cool right?
The table-top home brewery machine was funded on Kickstarter earlier this year and is currently being brought to life. Sure, it might take five to seven days to ferment before you can drink some of your booze masterpiece, but that’s a small price to pay for making your beer at home.
