Washing your hair, if you’ve got the time, can be quite therapeutic. Languidly, you reach for your shampoo and slowly drizzle a palm-full, like dipping a honey wand into a pot of liquid bee. Then sensually you begin to run your coated hands through each strand, making sure each piece is covered in a rich, soapy lather. You start at your scalp, thoughtfully massaging everything in, and then you run your hands through to the ends once more. Mm, satisfying.
But see, this is the wrong way to wash your hair if you’re trying to save a little bit of time and a whole lot of product. As the video above shows, the right way is far more simplistic, and it does the same job. It’s not just for lazy girls as the video might suggest, it’s for the everywoman.
Here’s the right way to wash your hair:
- Take a dime-sized drop of shampoo and massage it into the top of your scalp. Get that nice lather going, but you need only do so to your scalp.
- Take the same amount of conditioner, and apply to your ends only.
- Rinse in cold water, as this will give your hair a nice shine.
