Migos has a new video for their song, “Walk It Talk It,” and it’s quite the spectacle. Inspired by Soul Train, it’s a magical throw back to the times of bell bottoms, giant lapels, beautiful wigs and roller skates as the trio appear on a dance-themed show called Culture Ride, hosted by a cool cat named Ron Delirious, played by Jamie Foxx. But, and no offence to Quavo, Offset and Takeoff, it’s when Drake boogies on to the set that the video is elevated from groovy to far out. Can you dig it?

The song may have been out of sight, but we can’t get the images out of our minds. The beauty of “Walk It Talk It,” which appears on Migos’ new album Culture II, is how amazingly it captures that era. The way the video is lit and shot, the funky fashions, the dancers not once slipping into current moves, and Migos and Drake themselves, it’s all just so solid.

And it seems fans would agree.

But it’s Drake’s moves and unmistakable voice, combined with his sense of humour and willingness to always to go there, that make him a stone fox.

Funkadelic. Good luck, every other video after this one.
