If you’re a fan of Zendaya‘s signature streetwear looks and fabulous frocks, you’re going to want to mark March 21 on your calendars. That’s the day the actress is releasing her new 50-piece collection with Boohoo.com, and from what we’ve seen so far it’s going to be very in sync with her own iconic style.
The spring/summer capsule collection features everything from cocktail attire to athletic loungewear, with logo tees, bell-bottoms, crops and jackets rounding out the looks. Striped short suits? You betcha. A paper-bag waist jumpsuit? But of course. This is one pretty collection.
Thanks to the actress herself, the Zendaya Edit is also a pretty affordable collection. In fact nothing exceeds $100, which means these clothes are probably going to go really fast once they’re released.
“I know my fans, and I know what’s important to them,” Zendaya told WWD. “They are chic, fashion-forward and love clothes, but like most people, wanna be able to ball on a budget. So I felt this was a perfect fit, to help them choose some easy pieces that aren’t just ‘trendy’ but also attainable.”
This isn’t the first time Zendaya has thrown a piece of herself into a collection. Last year she designed Daya for Zendaya, a shoe collection with stylist Law Roach, and then she also oversaw a collection for Bloomingdales’ in-house brand, Aqua, in conjunction with her film The Greatest Showman.
For Boohoo, collaborating with Zendaya — its fifth celeb designer now — is a clear win.
“Zendaya is everything the Boohoo girl is, and we can’t wait to have her on board with us for spring,” Katie Curran, the site’s senior communications manager, told WWD. “Zendaya is an amazing role model for our customers and her successful career and her impeccable style are just two of the reasons why this is the perfect partnership for Boohoo. Zendaya was a pleasure to work with. We are sad to see the process draw to a close, but we can’t wait to release the collection on site now and celebrate the launch.”
Us neither. March 21 people. Mark it down
