That Derek Zoolander is so hot right now. Over the past year, the really, really, ridiculously good-looking male model and master of “Blue Steel” has not only been the highlight of Paris Fashion Week, he also thrilled us all with the announcement of his long-awaited movie sequel. And now, to top it all off, the three-time male model of the year has just landed his very first Vogue cover. Not too shabby for an ambi-turner and terrible eugoogoolizer, right?
In honour of the release of Zoolander 2 next month, Vogue revealed that Ben Stiller and Penélope Cruz are on the cover of its February issue, in character as Derek Zoolander and Melanie Valentina. Take a look, there’s nothing derelicte about it:
Legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz even snapped a photo spread for the issue featuring Zoolander and Valentina in a variety of fashionably hilarious situations. And from the looks of things, the photos are dripping with “Magnum,” “Ferrari” and “Le Tigre.”
